Welcome!
My name is Dr Liz Munoz (aka Coach Liz) and I am passionate about providing personalized high quality, evidence based Lifestyle Coaching to my clients.
I utilize proven strategies from Lifestyle and Preventive Medicine to help busy individuals and their families optimize their health and prevent, treat or even reverse disease without medication.
Lifestyle coaching is close to my heart as I too have struggled with my health. After my residency training I found myself 70 pounds overweight, struggling with high cholesterol, and high stress/burnout. I used the principles of Lifestyle & Preventive Medicine to get back to a normal weight, get my cholesterol back to normal, manage my stress and find joy in life. If I can do it - you can too and I would love to help you in your journey! I am a Columbia University and University of Pennsylvania trained, triple Board Certified Physician with expertise in Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health and Lifestyle Medicine. I completed my undergraduate studies at Columbia College. I completed my Doctorate in Medicine at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and completed a Masters in Public Health at University of California at Berkeley. My residency training in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine and Public Health was completed at University of Rochester Medical Center. I am Board Certified in Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health and Lifestyle Medicine. I completed a Health Coaching certification through American Council on Exercise. I am Puerto Rican and bilingual in English and Spanish. I grew up in the suburbs of Rochester in Brighton where I currently still live. I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening and being in nature. I am passionate about cooking and sharing new plant based recipes!
